They are a diverse group of advanced process engineers and support staff responsible for Equiax and DS/SX casting technology. Controls Engineering

All the members of our controls engineering and systems group at APS have 10 to 20 years of experience in systems integration and controls engineering. They have vast experience in many industries and applications including: Induction Heating and Melting, Forging, Heat Treating, Channel Furnaces, Factory Automation, Motion Control, Material Handling, Metal Chip Processing, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Power Systems, Precise Temperature Control Applications, in addition to Vacuum and Advanced Materials Processing.

Our Engineers also have extensive experience with a wide range of PLC and machine control hardware and software platforms. PLC platforms include: all Allen-Bradley PLC products, Siemens Step 5 and Step 7, Modicon, GE Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Steeplechase, and Texas Instruments to name a few. HMI and operator interface platforms include: Allen-Bradley RSView and Panelview terminals, Siemens WinCC Scada and Flex, Fixx Intellutions, Citect, Wonderware and so much more.

We also have years of Servo Motion control and Variable Frequency AC and DC Drive programming under our belts as well. After years of working as OEM onsite service engineers, we are quite used to customers providing extremely demanding application requirements on their systems. We know the value of a well structured planning and design stage and work closely with our customers to develop a well designed controls system that satisfy these demanding requirements. Our controls engineers are flexible, seasoned professionals who give the customer exactly what is expected. Our group works diligently to engineer and design reliable controls systems that provide value, ease of operation, and comprehensive diagnostics.

Systems Hardware and Integration

Under the supervision of our controls engineering group custom control panels are designed and fabricated to exacting details. This competency allows us to have the opportunity to test electrical sub assemblies and controls programs prior to arrival at the customer's site to ensure smooth and timely startups in the field. We are proficient in all PLC systems. In particular, Allen Bradley, Siemens, GE, and Modicon. APS engineers understand your custom process needs and design products for your specific application.
